There was Never a Discovery of Barley in America

There was Never a Discovery of Barley in America, not during the Book Of Mormon Acclaimed Times. Joseph Smith once again proven to be Wrong. Yet they try, they try. And regardless of Mormon Apologists stating this, it is wrong. Short answer: No credible evidence shows barley existed in the Americas between ~200 BC and 500 AD. To all the Mormon Apologists spreading this, “SHAME ON YOU”. Lies to further con and deceive is not a righteous act. And you are misleading those with hope. Hope that their religion they were raised in, or brought into was based on truth, and here may be 1 thing to prove it. Yet, as with all things thus far, a lie.

There was Never a Discovery of Barley in America

Image is Perfect. Showing American Flag (pre-dates the “Invented Story” by Joseph Smith of course). The entire process of the Book of Mormon, sounds innocent when told the “Story”. But the facts behind the truth of how the Book of Mormon came to be, paints nothing more than a Con Job. By a Con Man, who had been at the same Con and was caught for it. Treasure Hunter, turned “Prophet” and then the rest is Criminal. And great people, meaning well, are convicted that all things without proof are a reality. And that Joseph Smith is a direct descendant of Christ. And that through Joseph Smith can they be saved. Forget the Bible really. Gods Word and all. Joseph knew best. (Sounds incredible, but that is how it goes. And the more you point it out, the stronger they stand to hold to the False Teachings).

Here’s the clean, historically grounded breakdown as well as education on this, since we opened up the topic to begin with. One thing I do not understand, why lie? Today everything can be fact checked. I am more convinced that Mormons are in Love with a Lie, and Lies on those Lies. Prove me Wrong👇

Barley (Hordeum vulgare) was first domesticated in the Fertile Crescent (Middle East) around 10,000 years ago and then this spread through:

  • Europe
  • North Africa
  • Asia

By 200 BC–500 AD, barley was common in:

  • Roman territories
  • Ancient Near East
  • Parts of Asia

👉 But not in the Americas.

🌎 What Crops were in the Americas at That Time?

Indigenous American agriculture was highly advanced actually. However, it was focused on different crops, including:

  • Maize (corn)
  • Beans
  • Squash
  • Amaranth
  • Quinoa
  • Potatoes (Andes)
  • Manioc (cassava)
  • Sunflower
  • And nothing such as “Little Barley” either.

❌ Old World grains like:

  • Barley
  • Wheat
  • Rye
  • Oats

These were absent before European contact. Period. Nothing Joseph Smith invented would change this. Nor would it be proven otherwise. There are wild and completely unvalidated claims that discoveries are now showing this, that. But so far, all untrue. When you tell a lie, you have to keep telling lies. Its a vicious, tired, exhausting circle. And yet, they persist. It is uncanny really. To be so wrong, 100% proven wrong, and yet hold the line that you are the only Truth.

  • No verified barley pollen, seeds, or phytoliths have been found in pre-Columbian American sites. None.
  • Genetic studies show American barley varieties descend from post-1492 European introductions. Only. Without exception.
  • Claims of ancient barley in America consistently trace back to:
    • Misidentified native grasses (an attempt, but always false proof)
    • Contaminated excavation layers (fraud by a fraudulent religion, this could happen right)
    • Pseudo-archaeology (often tied to lost-civilization theories)

Some fringe theories; which are often tied to:

  • trans-oceanic contact myths (myths and not factually based)
  • Book of Mormon interpretations (these are almost writing themselves constantly)
  • lost civilizations like Atlantis (lost, and with unknown data)

have been seen to claim barley existed in ancient America. Claims, not facts. And while the Mormons would love to find the 1 thing that proves Joseph Smith was “translating” facts, this again falls short. Have you ever seen a situation where a Con Man has an Army over a century later trying to validate Lies as Truth? And yet they fail over and over. Tired.

🔍 In addition, Mainstream archaeology and botany do not support these claims.

Keep in mind here; No peer-reviewed evidence confirms barley cultivation or presence in the Americas before Columbus. None.

Facts based on evidence: Barley arrived in the Americas only after 1492, brought over by:

  • Spanish colonists
  • Later European settlers

It spread rapidly because it grows well in temperate climates. However, it was not indigenous.

🧠 Bottom Line

  • 200 BC–500 AD America: ❌ No barley
  • Post-Columbian America: ✅ Barley introduced from Europe
  • Evidence status: settled, well-documented, widely agreed upon
  • Mormons Claiming Joseph Smiths “Translation” or “Made Up Scripture” depending on if you are a fact follower or cult follower is once again, like so many examples proven to be a Lie, False and without any physical validation.

As I like to go into next. Let’s do Horses, Swords and Weapons. Lies and all things that Time only Proves Joseph Smith was clearly a Con Man. The Con has been uncovered, and more, yet they carry on. It never ceases to amaze. And I feel that some believe without doing the research, so here we are again, providing it so they can look here.
