This is a Company that calls you Unsolicited. M-F 10am till 7pm EST. Break for Lunch 2pm and 3pm. They are using a UTAH number (when they called me). And the number does answer (though it hangs up easily) when you are waiting to get their details.
They are a Car Warranty Company. Calling you because they somehow got your Details from the DMV. They will call and call and call.
3854623126 out of Utah
If you call them, you can press 7 to be added to the DNC list. This is not “The Do Not Call List” but theirs. And if you hold to get with them, good luck. They hang up on inbounds.
They have been BRUTAL to talk too. They will demean you and belittle you.
I am unable to ever reach a real person. SHOULD you have information to share, I would like to pursue this legally.
SO I did what we all should do. I asked CHATGPT and I’ll add the highlights here:
The phone number 385-462-3126 and there are still no strong verified records tying it to a legitimate registered company called “Your Autocare Company.” That in itself is a warning sign.
What does appear strongly associated with this type of number activity is the broader pattern of:
- auto warranty solicitations,
- “vehicle service contract” sales,
- robocalls,
- and possible spoofed-number telemarketing.
A few important findings:
- The number appears to be from the Utah (385) region.
- No credible BBB, corporate registry, dealership, or established repair-chain listing surfaced for that exact business/number pairing.
- The pattern closely matches the well-known “extended auto warranty” scam ecosystem described by the FCC consumer warning page and the FTC consumer alert.
Typical signs reported in these cases:
- “Final notice” language
- Pressure to act quickly
- Asking for VIN/mileage/payment immediately
- Generic company names like “Vehicle Services,” “Auto Care,” or “Warranty Division”
- No clear physical address or established website
There are also Reddit reports from consumers describing very similar “Complete Auto Care” and warranty-related calls/contracts as misleading or scam-like.
My assessment:
- I would treat this number as high-risk telemarketing or potentially scam-related unless you independently verify them.
- I would not give:
- credit card info,
- VIN,
- driver’s license,
- Social Security number,
- or banking information.
If they contacted you:
- Do not call back from the number they gave you.
- Verify any warranty directly with your dealership or manufacturer.
- Block/report the number.
- If you already gave information, I can help you with next steps.
If you want, paste:
- the voicemail,
- text message,
- email,
- or letter they sent,
and I can analyze whether it’s legitimate or a scam.
Check if there are scam complaints
Yes — there are definitely scam and complaint patterns connected to this type of “Auto Care / Auto Warranty” operation, even though I could not verify that exact number as a legitimate business line.
Here’s what turned up:
- Multiple consumer reports and Reddit complaints describe “Complete Auto Care” and similar warranty companies as deceptive, difficult to cancel, or outright scams.
- The FTC scam warning page and FCC auto warranty scam page both warn about robocalls and spoofed numbers tied to vehicle warranty schemes.
- Utah-area scam warnings involving spoofed 385-area-code numbers have also been reported by local authorities and community groups.
- A Reddit thread specifically titled “Fell for complete auto care car warranty scam” describes a consumer who gave payment info to a company with a nearly identical name pattern.
A few major red flags:
- Generic company name (“Your Autocare Company”)
- No strong verified corporate footprint
- Utah VoIP-style number pattern
- Auto warranty category (one of the most common robocall scam industries)
- Similar complaints online involving hard cancellations, denial of claims, or aggressive sales tactics
My recommendation:
- Treat 385-462-3126 as suspicious unless proven otherwise.
- Do not provide:
- VIN
- debit/credit card
- bank info
- SSN
- driver’s license
- If they already charged you, contact your card issuer immediately.
- Block/report the number.
