Ingredients for the Beer Cheese:

  • Use 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Lager Beer
  • 1 Cup Half and Half
  • Also 1 Teaspoon of Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Teaspoon of Whole Grain Mustard
  • & 1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Pepper
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of Smokey Paprika
  • Pinch of Dried Parsley (Optional)
  • 3 Cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Wagyu Bratwursts and Beer Cheese

STEP 1: In a Saucepan melt butter of medium heat. Add flour and whisk until combined. About 30 seconds.

STEP 2: Add the Lager. And whisk until the lumps from the flour have been removed.

STEP 3: Slowly add in the half and half; whisking as you pour it into the mixture.

STEP 4: Whisking often for several minutes until the mixture thickens. Then stir in Mustards, Worcestershire Sauce, Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper, Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, and dried parsley.

STEP 5: Add cheese in a handful at a time until it is melted and mixture is smoothed out.
